You're a Great Writer - Now Let's Make Sure People Know It

Hey Reader,

Last time, we talked about leveling up your writing skills. Today, let's focus on the second hurdle: making sure people know how great your writing is.

Even the best writers struggle if their work isn't seen by the right people. Here's how to get your talent noticed:

  1. Start guest posting - Remember how I mentioned this was crucial to my success? Reach out to popular blogs in your niche and pitch guest post ideas. You can start by downloading my list of sites where you can submit your guest posts.
  2. Create a stellar portfolio - Showcase your best work on your website. Make it easy for potential clients to see what you can do.
  3. Leverage LinkedIn - Optimize your profile, share your articles, and engage with potential clients.
  4. Use social proof - Display testimonials from satisfied clients on your website and social media profiles.
  5. Network strategically - Attend industry events or join online communities where your ideal clients hang out.

When I started, nobody knew who I was. But by consistently guest posting and building relationships, I went from anonymity to having clients seek me out.

Your next step: Choose one platform (your website, LinkedIn, etc.) and spend an hour optimizing it to showcase your best work.

I'm curious:

What's your go-to method for showcasing your writing talent? Or if you're just starting out, what's holding you back from putting your work out there?

Reply to this email and share your thoughts - your response might inspire a future topic!

In our next email, we'll tackle the final - and often most challenging - obstacle: building the confidence to go after those high-paying clients.

Keep writing,
Chris
