I’ll keep this email short but value-packed. Here are the top 3 regrets I’ve had in helping my community achieve their SEO and content marketing goals. Consider this a “warning letter” of the things that you should avoid so that you don’t have to go through a ton of pain or waste a ton of time like I did when it comes to building a successful career in digital marketing! Regret #1) Not Taking Action Sooner In my 20s, I was busy doing everything EXCEPT focusing on the most important things. I spent an entire decade achieving NOTHING professionally. While I could make excuses, the truth is I could’ve started learning about SEO and implementing its practices much earlier. Don’t wait to pursue your passions and build your skills – start now! Regret #2) Not Figuring Out What I Wanted For too long, I let other people make decisions for me. As a naturally passive person, this became a major disadvantage. When opportunities arose that required me to assert myself, I didn’t know what to do. I lost countless chances that could have been mine if I had only determined what I wanted earlier in life. Take the time to reflect on your goals and aspirations—it’s crucial for your personal and professional growth. Regret #3) Not Treating Myself Well There was a point in my life when I hated myself. I blamed everything negative in my life on myself, which cast a dark cloud over each day. This affected every aspect of my life, and I’m still dealing with the consequences. It wasn’t until late last year that I started to reconcile with myself, treating myself with kindness and empathy. I’m more forgiving of my past mistakes now. Remember, self-compassion is not a luxury—it’s a necessity for your well-being and success. Over to you… With all that being said, I became a stronger and better person after getting through each of these… but I still wouldn’t recommend making these mistakes if you can avoid them. This isn’t a “should have, would have, could have” post. I’m happy where I am right now, which is why I’m sharing these things with you so you don’t have to undergo the same challenges I faced. Which mistake stood out the most to you, Reader? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Keep writing, |
