Most of you know me as Chris, SEO content strategist, freelance writer, yada yada...

However, today I will share a side of myself that most of you won't know of. I don't think I have ever talked so much about this before: My dreams!

The dreams that push me to wake up every single morning so that I can work towards them.

The dreams that keep me alive.

To be honest, I don't have lots of dreams. I just have one that I really hope to achieve in the next 10-15 years:

To foolproof my children's financial future.

Of course, I want them to grow up to be good and caring people. I'm already working on that, trying to impart as much wisdom as I can to them in my own silly, goofy way. But kindness and goodness alone won't pay the bills when they grow up.

This dream took root in 2020, during the pandemic. It was a wake-up call that made me realize I needed to step up and give everything I've got to provide them with the life they deserve and that I want for them. They need a cushion to help them get ready for life whenever I pass away, and I'm trying my damn best day in and day out while still at my peak to turn this dream into a reality.

The funny thing is that accomplishing this dream is a process. I can reach a certain amount of money or savings for them, but it's always better to have a greater cushion.

That said, there also needs to be a balance between having enough and getting more, if possible. But that's a different story altogether!

When I finally feel I've accomplished this dream, I know I'll feel a deep sense of peace and satisfaction.

Knowing that my kids will have a solid financial foundation to build their lives upon, regardless of what happens to me, will be the ultimate reward for all this hard work.

I know this isn't an email you'd expect from me, but it feels good to be different once in a while!
